ABOUT MONICA

Monica Andrusko, RN, has had a glass half-full to overflowing mindset from the time she was a child and teenage cheerleader.  Along with compassionate quality nursing care, she strives to help people discover their healing potential and find positivity and passion in their life’s journey. As a medical/surgical nurse in a hospital setting, Monica seeks opportunities to share holistic means of healthcare. As a student of Healing Touch, she integrates this therapy, when time and interest allows.

Her personal experience of caring for her father in a foreign hospital during the last month of his life awoke the notion that life is very short, fragile and meant to be lived fully.  Love breaks all barriers. Finding ways to love life and relieve stress and anxiety are the ways to wholeness.

Monica graduated from Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing with a BSN and received the Professional Excellence in Nursing award. She is a Certified Natural Health Professional with experience in conducting classes on natural health and healing. She is a Wellness Advocate, certified in AromaTouch who loves to share her knowledge of essential oils. Other healing modalities studied include Contact Reflexology, iridology and Energy Medicine. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Oregon which lead to a career in print and outdoor media prior to nursing. Due to this background, she has an interest in and a finger on the pulse of the world of digital marketing.

A native Oregonian having lived in Willamette Valley, Southern and Eastern Oregon, Monica currently lives in Portland with her teenage son. She loves to travel, explore nature in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, cook, garden and have fun with friends and family.

Her aspirations center on helping people be their best, regain their health, aim for wellness and have a renewed look on life.
